The Richmond Lacrosse Association and all our players appreciate your time and consideration!
President (elected) - Presides over executive meetings. Prepares the agenda for meetings. Attends the Lower Mainland Commission meetings. Works with the VPs and executive members to help fulfill their obligations on the board. Accepts phone calls and correspondence on behalf of the Association.
VP Minor (elected) - Helps executive members fulfill their obligations. Works with the Coaching Coordinator, Division Coordinators and Coaches throughout the Minor Box season. Responsible for reporting activities of the club to the respective club volunteers and for providing guidance and support to those volunteers. Fulfills the duties of President in his/her absence.
VP Senior (elected) - Works with the Head Coach and Management of the Senior teams. Responsible for reporting activities of the club to the respective club volunteers and for providing guidance and support to those volunteers. Fulfills the duties of the President in his/her absence.
VP Field (elected) - Works with the Head Coaches and Management of the Field teams. Responsible for reporting activities of the club to the respective club volunteers and for providing guidance and support to those volunteers. Fulfills the duties of the President in his/her absence.
Secretary (elected) - Attends executive meetings to record minutes and distribute copies of the same to all executive members prior to the next meeting. Maintain Association records and files and ensures they are up-to-date with the Registry. Sends reminders to executive members to remind them of the date and times of meetings. Arrange bookings for board meetings and the AGM.
Treasurer (elected) - Maintains the books for the Association. Prepares all financial statements for year end (AGM). Pays all approved association bills. Prepares a budget for the AGM. Monitors and reports on account balances. Applies for the Government Gaming Funds as necessary.
Registrar (appointed) - Coordinate registrations for the membership. Keep an updated registration list in all divisions and make available to the Coaches and Executive Members. Ensures all members are properly registered with BCLA.
Scheduler (appointed) - Provide LMMLC with game slots for tiering and league games. Coordinate floor assignments with RACA. Coordinate with Team Managers and Head Referee/Ref Allocator any game reschedules. Reconcile arena invoices with allotted/used floor times; returning unused times.
Equipment Manager (appointed) - Maintain an inventory of all uniforms and equipment, ordering more as required and approved. Coordinate distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment at season beginnings and ends. Monitor storage facility.
Head Referee (appointed) - Recruit, select and train referees. Monitor referees by attending games. Attend LMOA meetings.
Referee Allocator (appointed) - Obtain list of eligible refs from Head Ref and assign to games (game schedule obtained from Scheduler).
Coaching Coordinator (appointed) - Recruit and assign coaches to Association teams. Maintain up-to-date files with coaching certification levels; ensure all coaches are informed of upcoming Coaching Courses. Helps coordinate player evaluations and team selections. Acts as a liaison between coaches ad the executive. Attends LMCA meetings.
Division Managers (6) (appointed) - Oversee the general activities of our lacrosse teams. Acts as a liaison for the players and parents between the coaches and executive. Helps with the organization of player evaluations and notifications of team assignments.
Sponsorship Coordinator (appointed) - Coordinate all executive fundraising activities. Approach past and present team/association sponsors for continued sponsorship of the Association. Ensure sponsorship recognition and thank you letters are delivered. Ensure sponsor representation/acknowledgement throughout Association events.
Webmaster/Media Liaison (appointed) - Maintain the RLA website and update with necessary/new information received from the executive. Submit stories on behalf of RLA to the local papers and post on the website/social media sites. Ensure to post registration dates and tournament events.
RACA Representative (appointed) - Attends monthly meetings on behalf of RLA and reports back to executive.
